Apple Music has increased its subscription prices in India, with changes affecting students, individual users and families. Find out how much subscribers will now pay.

Apple Music subscribers in India are facing higher monthly costs, with Apple increasing the prices of its subscription plans across student, individual and family tiers.

The latest price revision means the Apple Music Student Plan has risen from ₹59 to ₹69 per month, while the Individual Plan has increased from ₹119 to ₹139 per month. The biggest increase applies to the Family Plan, which has gone from ₹179 to ₹229 per month.

The price increases affect both new and existing customers, according to reports, and come as Apple continues to offer access to more than 100 million songs, ad-free listening, lossless audio and Spatial Audio as part of its music streaming service.

Apple has reportedly attributed the subscription price changes to increased licensing fees, with the latest revision also affecting Apple Music pricing in several other markets. The move comes after Apple previously increased its Individual Plan price in India in late 2024, making this the second reported price increase for the service in the country.

The company has also increased the price of its Apple One Individual bundle in India, which now costs ₹195 per month, up from ₹175. The Apple One Family plan remains priced at ₹365 per month. Apple One combines Apple Music with services including Apple TV, Apple Arcade and iCloud+, potentially offering better value for customers who already use several Apple services.

For music fans, the increase adds to a wider trend of rising subscription costs across the streaming industry, as platforms continue to balance the expense of licensing music with the demand for premium features and high-quality audio.

Despite the higher prices, Apple Music remains positioned as a premium streaming service, offering users access to its extensive catalogue without advertising, alongside features such as lossless audio, Spatial Audio, curated playlists and Apple Music Classical.

For Indian subscribers, the latest changes mean that choosing the right plan could become more important, particularly for families and students looking to keep monthly entertainment costs under control. New subscribers can still access introductory offers, including a free first month on standard plans, subject to Apple’s current terms.
