Audio Technica AT2020USB-XP – affordable USB mic for recording and content creation
Audio Technica is back with a new USB microphone for content creators and musicians.
Audio Technica has announced the launch of the AT2020USB-XP, the latest in its line of 20 Series products for streamers, podcasters and other content creators, building on the success of its predecessor, the AT2020USB-X.

The AT2020USB-XP is a cardioid microphone that has much in common with its predecessor. In addition to the similar visual design, the AT2020USB-XP offers the same touch-sensitive mute switch, headphone jack with dedicated volume control, and a mix control that allows for direct monitoring.
Meanwhile, the AT2020USB-XP offers a 24-bit /192 kHz sampling rate high-resolution A/D converter for clear sound reproduction; a selector switch to choose between three levels of noise reduction with an LED indicator; and automatic gain control with its own LED indicator.
As a result, the AT2020USB-XP has enough flexibility for professional YouTubers, podcasters, and even musicians. The mic focuses on the sound source and cuts out any incoming sound from the sides and behind thanks to its cardioid pick-up pattern, while its USB C connectivity means you don’t need an audio interface to use it.
Furthermore, a two-state LED indicator ring will light blue when the microphone is connected to a power source, light red when the microphone is muted, and it’ll blink if your input begins to peak. The AT2020USB-XP also comes with a desk stand and clip-on pop filter, a 3/8″ to 5/8″ threaded adapter, and a 10-foot USB-C to USB-A cable with a USB-A to USB-C adapter.
Finally, you can also get an AT8455 shock mount but this is sold separately.
You can get the AT2020USB-XP now for £119.
