YouTube confirms upload error impacting videos and Shorts

If you’ve tried uploading content to YouTube recently and noticed your video stuck at 0%, you’re not the only one. Creators worldwide have reported problems uploading both regular videos and Shorts to the platform.

The issue is affecting both mobile and desktop upload, so users can’t simply switch devices to solve the problem.

No fix yet, but YouTube is on it

Thousands of creators have taken to YouTube’s help page to share screenshots and experiences of the issue. The platform has acknowledged the situation and says updates will be posted in the help thread with any progress. So far, there is no official timeline for a fix.

Why it matters

For many artists and creators, YouTube is key to releasing engaging content to reach new audiences and build your fanbase. Upload delays can disrupt release schedules, marketing campaigns and affect the livelihood of creators who depend on YouTube uploads.

Hopefully YouTube can resolve the issue soon so creators can carry on posting their content.
