William Fitzsimmons Touring Europe
I have just been introduced to the magnificently bearded William Fitzsimmons; he’s a kind of soft-voiced lumberjack looking type of bloke with facial growth that resembles a gorse bush disguising a really heartfelt and gentle songwriting talent. A little too plaintive to knock Nirvana out of my top 10, but worth a listen, and frankly I’d forgive a lot from a chap with such a well tended chin-warmer. He’s got a whole European tour lined up, including some dates in London, Oxford and Bristol over the next couple of weeks; if you’re in need of some soothing by a hirsute man go listen, he used to be a Psychotherapist, so presumably he won’t mind you gushing your own sob stories at him after the gig.
Music-News.com have put up a good album review of his latest release: Sparrow and The Crow, which you can win by entering their competition. For now, here’s a sample of his music.
