Car rides have just gotten a whole lot more interesting for Tesla drivers with the introduction of new music streaming services to their cars.

Tesla are empowering drivers with more high quality karaoke sessions on the road. They’ve teamed up with two of the world’s biggest music streaming services, providing more options for listening behind the wheel.

With Tesla’s vehicle software update 2024.26, Amazon Music and YouTube music are the two services that are now built-in to Tesla cars. To use both of these services, Tesla owners will need either Tesla’s $10 a month Premium Connectivity or an active WIFI connection.

Users will be able to access all of their liked and added songs from YouTube Music. They will also be able to find and play playlists, artists, and podcasts that they have subscribed to. Listeners will require a YouTube Music Premium subscription.

Any Amazon Prime members will be able to use Amazon Music on Tesla. Amazon Music Unlimited subscribers will also be able to access their music in Tesla vehicles.

Tesla owners will be able to access both music streaming services through their Tesla touchscreen, eliminating the need for Bluetooth connectivity. The two music services join major players Spotify, Apple Music, and TIDAL for built-in streaming.

The update is currently rolling out to Tesla vehicles in phases. If you can’t find YouTube Music or Amazon Music you may need to wait, depending on your location and model.

The future of in-car entertainment

Tesla’s move towards integrating popular music streaming services reflects a growing trend in the automotive industry. Drivers are increasingly demanding a wider range of entertainment options within their vehicles.

With the addition of YouTube Music and Amazon Music, Tesla is solidifying its position at the forefront of in-car technology and entertainment.
