Spotify has just reported their fourth quarter 2023 earning results, showing us an up-to-date number of users and subscribers on the platform.

Spotify has just published their Q4 2023 earnings. As every quarter, this brings with it an infographic showing the total number of monthly active users and subscribers, as well as the top new features for music consumers and creators on the streaming platform.

Spotify’s monthly active users are at 602 million. This is up 23% year-over-year, with 28 million net additions and 1 million ahead of guidance. There are currently 236 million paying subscribers, up 15% year-over-year. This is also 1 million ahead of guidance and includes 10 million net additions.

Total revenue on Spotify grew 16% year-over-year to €3.7 billion, with a gross margin at 26.7% and an operating loss of €75 million.

The infographic below shows some of the highlights on Spotify in the last three months of 2023. These include the celebration of the 9th annual Wrapped campaign, which drew in more than 225 million monthly active users. User engagement for Spotify Wrapped grew more than 40% year-over-year across 170 markets.

Spotify also expanded access to audiobooks, with over 200,000 titles now available to Premium subscribers in select markets, including the US. These features join other new tools and milestones, such as 10 years of Spotify in Latin America, a redesigned TV experience, integration with TikTok – allowing users to save songs from videos to Spotify playlists, a new in-app merch hub, and more.
