Spotify’s editorial team has revealed their hottest songs of the year thus far.

Spotify’s editorial team has just shared its picks for the best songs of 2025 so far, offering a playlist filled with standout tracks that reflect what’s resonating most this year. The Editors’ Picks: Best Songs of the Year (So Far) playlist features 50 tracks hand-selected for their songwriting, musicality, originality, and cultural impact.

Rather than chasing trends, Spotify’s editors focused on songs that made them feel something – tracks that stood out for their sound, story, or influence. As Sulinna Ong, Spotify’s Global Head of Editorial, explained:

“Our Editors’ Picks playlist isn’t about what’s trending – it’s about the tracks that stood out for all the right reasons. Our music editors dug deeper to spotlight songs that intrigued us; sonically, culturally, or through exceptional songwriting.”
