RouteNote launches Dolby Track Mastering: Professional-grade AI-powered mastering
Master your track using AI, powered by Dolby, to instantly achieve a release-ready, finished product, that sounds consistent across devices.
Customizable to suit your individual sound and with no software download required, put the finishing touches on your record, with Dolby Track Mastering available right on site. The mastered track will be available immediately, ready for you to distribute around the world.
Dolby Track Mastering is available exclusively to all RouteNote users, but does not require distributing the finished track with us. It’s free to sign up to RouteNote today and hear a preview of your mastered track. Dolby Track Mastering is $7.99 per track.
The new feature can be found in the navigation bar, under Distribution – Track Mastering. There’s also a shortcut via the Add Audio section of Create New Release.
How to master your track on RouteNote
In the navigation bar, head to Distribution – Track Mastering. Upload a file, enter a URL or choose an existing approved RouteNote release (see below for details). Click Continue. Supported files include AAC, AIFF, FLAC, MP3, OPUS, VORBIS, and WAV.

Choose a 30-second section to preview, preferably a clip with high dynamic range (both quiet and loud parts). Click Select and Continue.

Select a suitable genre, Mastering Intensity and toggle Stereo Image Enhancement for better stereo balance. Toggle between the original and mastered version, and listen to the results in real-time. Once you’ve got it sounding just right, click Select and Continue.

Platforms prefer different loudnesses. Mouseover to see the preferred LUFS and dBTP of each platform. Choose your preferred platform preset or click Custom and use the Loudness slider to customize.

Choose Pay with PayPal or Pay with Stripe and follow the on-screen instructions.

You’re file will be immediately available for download in the same file format uploaded. Click Download Mastered Track.

Please note, mastering must be done before releasing your music with RouteNote. Updating the audio file of a live release is unavailable on RouteNote. Mastering an existing release will not update the audio in stores. We’ve given users the option of choosing an existing RouteNote release if they want to rerelease the record. This will require either clearly stating this is a remastered rerelease version or taking down the existing version.
