Khabane Lame is the most followed creator on TikTok, but with MrBeast climbing fast, how much longer will he hold the crown?
With their much loved ‘For You’ feed, follows are less prevalent on TikTok than other social media platforms, like Instagram. The ‘For You’ feed is driven by an algorithm that takes into account the amount of time you spend watching and engaging with certain types of content. That being said, the most followed TikTok accounts gives us an idea of what content is widely popular on the platform.
In June 2022, 24 year-old Senegalese-Italian influencer Khabane “Khaby” Lame over took Charli D’Amelio as the most followed creator on short-form video platform TikTok. Over two years later and Khaby still holds the title, with Charli D’Amelio at number two, but there’s been some movement among the rest of the top ten.
Since we last updated the list in 2022, MrBeast is a new entry, all the way up to number three with 114 million followers. Other new entries include Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Dominik Lipa at number nine and ten respectively. The TikTok account, with over 88 million followers, has risen by a couple of places.
Social media personalities Bella Poarch, Addison Rae and Zach King have all dropped places in the top ten. Will Smith, Burak Özdemir and Dixie D’Amelio have all fallen off the top ten list entirely.
