JioSaavn are taking inspiration from MTV with the launch of a brand new TV channel for music launched on their platform.

JioSaavnTV brings back the joy of the 90s with a brand new channel streaming non-stop music videos from some of the world’s favourite artists including Badshah, BTS, Dua Lipa, and Justin Bieber. Alongside their ‘Music TV’ channel will be new playlists featuring music videos from a variety of artists.

JioSaavnTV will be available in unlimited viewing glory for premium subscribers, with on-demand access to the channel and playlists. On the other hand, free users will be limited to 3 videos a month that they can watch. JioSaavn’s push for new content is clearly set to define their premium tier as more valuable and encourage users to pay for their service.

This isn’t the first video rodeo for JioSaavn, who launched ‘Shorties’ last year. Their 15 second video loops accompany tracks and are very similar to Spotify Canvas artworks. They also have a partnership with Triller which brings short videos from the platform into JioSaavn from top artists.

JioSaavn users can check out the available music videos now and tune in to JioSaavnTV. It’s an exciting development for India’s leading streaming service and it will be interesting to see if they plan to bring more unique, premium content onto their service in an encouragement to create more paying subscribers.
