How to set an exact release date and time for your music on digital services

You can set a release date for your music to build up to the big day. Whether you’re releasing a brand new single or uploading a full studio album, the release is in your hands. You can choose the exact time and date that you want your release to go live on platforms so that listeners can hear it.

With our Timed Releases feature, you can choose exactly when you want your release to go live down to the hour and minute. Select your time zone to ensure that your music is available to listeners precisely when you want them to hear it.

Add a release date and time for your music at any stage in the release. Of course when uploading your new release you can set the date and time for it to go live then. You can also schedule a release time when editing your release if you’ve been told action is needed on it or by updating your release after it’s been approved.

1. Create a release
2. Click on ‘Edit Album Detail’
3. Ensure you select a Sales Start Date, the day you want your release to go live
4. Scroll down to find our ‘Add Time’ button and select it
5. Add your chosen time and select the Time Zone you want for accuracy
6. Then before you complete your release you can choose whether your music goes live at the local time (where you are) or at the time in the chosen timezone
7. Then press Save and Continue to put your choices in effect for your upcoming release. You will need to ensure all the feature options have been filled in before proceeding.
