YouTube just removed the 500 subscriber threshold required to publish Community posts. Now almost anyone can interact with their audience!

Launched in 2016, Community is a text-based way to update your audience on YouTube. Initially requiring 10,000 subscribers, the threshold has been lowered over time, with YouTube now opening the Community tab to all users with Advanced features enabled.

YouTube Community posts can include text, images, image polls, text polls, videos, and quizzes on Android. Quiz support is rolling out across iOS and desktop too in the coming weeks.

These updates were announced in a new video from YouTube’s Creator Insider channel.
