Apple’s compact and affordable HomePod mini smart speaker now comes in ‘Midnight’, a blue tinted color, replacing ‘Space Gray’.

Joining yellow, orange, blue and white, midnight replaces space gray in the HomePod mini lineup. While still a dark and neutral color, midnight adds a slight blue tint. Apple’s HomePod mini launched in white and space gray in October 2020. These two colors were joined by yellow, orange and blue, which launched a year later. This new color compliments the midnight color that the larger 2nd generation HomePod launched in last year.

The new midnight HomePod mini is now made with 100% recycled mesh fabric, instead of the “more than 90%” that came before.

On the inside, the HomePod mini is exactly the same product, with big sound from a compact design and backlit touch surface on top. Use a single speaker or pair multiple for stereo sound or multiroom audio. HomePod mini is great for music streaming, use as Apple TV speakers, Siri voice assistance and smart home controls.

The new midnight color is available in stores in the US, Canada, China mainland, Singapore and 28 other countries and regions from Wednesday, July 17. You can pre-order it today online for the same $99 launch price at apple.com/homepod-mini.
