How to use bold, italics and strikethrough text in YouTube descriptions and comments
The ability to use bold, italics and strikethrough text in descriptions launched to all creators earlier this year.
Did you know you can stylize the text in YouTube descriptions and comments? While the feature launched to descriptions earlier this year, without dedicated buttons, many still don’t know the feature exists.
Bold, italics and strikethrough options are available for regular upload and Shorts descriptions, as well as comments. All you need to do is place these symbols on each side of the text you want to format:
- *bold*
- _italics_
-strikethrough-
Note, YouTube don’t show a preview of the formatted text as you type, but rest assured, your text will be stylized when viewed in the description.
