Apple Drop The iPod Classic
Among releasing the latest iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus and Apple Watch, Apple quietly dropped the iPod Classic from the lineup on their Stores, which sees the death of the famous and loved click wheel.
The iPod Classic’s latest design being the 6th generation, had not been updated in 7 years, since 2007. In 2009 Apple bumped the capacity to 160GB, but iPod Classic has not been touched since. The lineup now consist of the iPod Touch 5th generation, iPod Nano 7th generation and iPod Shuffle 4th generation.
The current generation iPod Touch at 64GB is the largest option you’ll find under that category, or if you plan on fishing out £700, you can grab an new iPhone 6 with 128GB. Both options will still run you less storage than the iPod Classic, so here’s hoping a larger iPod Touch for music lovers is on the horizon.
