Ableton offer new affordable route to Live 12 Suite
Ableton have launched a new scheme to help bring their benchmark DAW to more people with an affordable solution.
Ableton Live 12 Suite offers the most powerful music production package from the renowned DAW producers. As the top tier, it comes at a pretty penny but a new rent-to-own scheme opens access to brand new users.
Ableton have launched a rent-to-own program, in which for a fraction of the cost users can jump straight in with their flagship program. The monthly charge will give users access to Live 12 Suite in full, and each charge will go towards the total cost of owning it completely.
The scheme splits the cost into 12 parts, allowing for users to slowly build up to a full license over a year. Each month paid gives users full access to the full breadth of Ableton Live Suite’s features.
There are no surcharges, meaning that after 24 months users will have paid the exact same amount as they would have upfront for their license. Ableton also promise not to charge extra for late fees and allow users to pause or cancel their plan at any time.
Users who have been paying monthly can also pay the remaining balance at any time to gain immediate access to their full license.
Live Suite 12 offers more software instruments, double the packs, more than double the presets, samples, and loops than a Standard license. Find the full feature comparison here.
Students get Ableton Live Suite 12 at an even better price
The rent-to-own scheme is also available to students at a discounted price, meaning that after just 12 months they will own a full license. Students can head to the educational shop to sign up to Ableton’s rent-to-own scheme.
Those eligible for the educational discount must be:
- a student who is 18 or over and enrolled in full-time education, up to advanced degree programs.
- a parent or guardian buying on behalf of a student who is under 18.
- a student in a part-time program that consists of 20 or more hours of study per week, or one that runs for 12 months or more. The area of study is irrelevant.
- a teacher who is currently employed full- or part-time at a school or university in any field. Part-time and private teachers must work at least 20 hours per week to qualify.
