Google Offers Online Cloud Storage For All File Extensions
If you’re already using Google docs to transfer files around your work group, you’ll know that it can already handle file attachments of up to 250MB, and offers you the ability to access all of your files from wherever you log in. Now google have expanded the documents service to handle all types of file extension, with an online ‘cloud’ storage space of 1GB. This doesn’t have the same integrated music functionality as something like Soundcloud, but it does have an expandable capacity; 1GB extra for 0.25c a year. Look for google to expand the online options for acessing file types; right now you can convert files from all Microsoft office formats for use with their basic online editing programs, and given the way that the functionality of Gmail expanded, we can safely expect music streaming and picture editing software to be along soon.
