Pandora brings podcasts to Alexa for all users
Like other streaming services Pandora has fallen in love with podcasts and to get more people listening all of their users can now stream them on Alexa devices.
Pandora’s huge podcast library includes shows covering True Crime, News, Sports, Music, Comedy, Kids, Lifestyle & Health from creators like TED Talks, Talib Kweli, Dave Ramsey, Dolly Parton and many more. Now all of these podcasts can be streamed through Alexa-enabled devices like Amazon Echo speakers.
Users can use voice commands with their devices to simply tell it what podcasts they want to hear. For example, they can say: “Alexa, play the Sway’s Interviews podcast on Pandora” and it will do just that. Users have the option to set Pandora as their default player for Podcasts to make life even easier.
To select Pandora as your default podcast player on Alexa, follow these steps:
- Open the Alexa app on your mobile device
- Select Menu > Settings > Music & Podcasts > Default Services
- Under Podcasts, select Pandora
Pandora users who have already linked their accounts to Alexa for music listening can start listening to podcasts without re-linking.
Download the latest version of the Alexa app for iOS or Android, set Pandora as your default podcast player, and start enjoying your favorite podcasts on Pandora hands-free on your Alexa-enabled device today!
