A stream is qualified on Spotify after it has been played for over 30 seconds. After this time it will qualify as a stream.

However, not all Spotify streams are created equally. In terms of royalties per stream it differs depending upon a lot of factors, who plays the track from which country, type of account that has streamed the track, etc.
