Spotify invests in artists and creators

Spotify also highlighted several of its new features and developments from the quarter.

One of the most notable announcements is Fresh Finds Forward, a new initiative intended to support around 10,000 emerging independent artists every year.

The platform also rolled out its Taste Profile (Beta) feature in the US, which lets Premium subscribers view and shape what gets recommended across music, podcasts and audiobooks.

Elsewhere, Spotify is expanding audiobook access to more than 180 markets by the end of 2026, reflecting its continued investment in content beyond music.

What does Spotify’s growth mean for independent artists?

Spotify’s expanding audience presents an ongoing opportunity for independent musicians and labels looking to reach listeners around the world.

Its latest artist initiatives also underline the importance of discovery and developing relationships with fans. Getting noticed is one part of the journey, but turning that attention into a dedicated audience is what can help artists build lasting momentum.

With Spotify continuing to invest in discovery, creator opportunities and personalised listening, artists should keep exploring ways to reach new audiences and encourage fans to engage with their music.
