Spotify has integrated with Meta’s Muse AI agent, allowing users to play music, discover new tracks, create playlists and organise their listening through natural conversation.

Spotify has become the first music streaming service to connect with Meta’s Muse AI agent, expanding the ways listeners can access its catalogue. Announced last week, the integration lets users link their Spotify accounts to Muse and make requests through conversation, from playing specific songs to finding new music and building playlists.

Listeners can also ask Muse to save tracks to their Spotify Library, find podcasts and audiobooks, and pick up where they left off in a podcast. Spotify gives the example of creating a playlist inspired by a road-trip destination and scheduling it to start automatically when the journey begins.

From music discovery to scheduled listening

The integration also brings Spotify into more everyday routines. Users can ask Muse to play a workout playlist at a particular time or put on focus music when they have time set aside for work. It can also help listeners turn their notes, ideas and daily briefings into a Personal Podcast, which is then saved to their Spotify Library.

The idea is to make music and audio easier to access without having to navigate Spotify’s menus or search manually. Rather than opening the app and building a playlist themselves, listeners can describe what they want and let Muse handle the requests.

Spotify expands its AI partnerships

Muse is the latest in a growing number of AI integrations for Spotify. As Music Ally notes, the music company integrated with ChatGPT in October 2025 and added a connector for Anthropic’s Claude in April 2026. Spotify has also been developing more conversational features within its own app, including tools for shaping recommendations.

The move comes as Meta’s Muse gains early traction. According to TechCrunch, the app recorded 2.8 million downloads in the US and Canada during its first 12 days.

Spotify’s latest integration adds another route into its streaming catalogue, as AI assistants become an increasingly prominent part of how people interact with digital services. For now, the announcement centres on listener convenience and discovery, rather than any changes to how artists release or distribute their music.
