Kings Of Leon have announced details of a UK stadium tour, which is due to take place next summer. The US band will play five shows, starting at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry on May 30 in connection with their new number one album Come Around Sundown no doubt.
Other gigs in the short tour are scheduled for the Stadium Of Light in Sunderland on June 17 and Manchester’s County Cricket Ground on June 19. The band are also set to perform for the second year running at London’s Hyde Park on June 22.

Weird Al Yankovic has announced details of his first ever UK tour. The comedy singer will play three dates on top of his stage appearance at one of this years “All Tomorrow’s Parties” venues in Minehead starting in Birmingham on December the 2nd.
Yankovic will also play in Manchester on December 3rd and London 6th in support of his forthcoming greatest hits album.
‘The Essential “Weird Al” Yankovic’, a greatest hits album, is said to be released on October 18, features 38 tracks, including his 1992 hit ‘Smells Like Nirvana’ and ‘White And Nerdy’.
The singer is also scheduled toappear at All Tomorrow’s Parties in Minehead on December 5.

The Manic Street Preachers returned to the live music scene with a private intimate gig at the Working Men’s Club in west London.

Apple have announced that more than two million people have applied for tickets for next month’s iTunes Festival in London.
“We’ve already had over 2 million tickets applied for, at an average of 100,000 every day,” says Oliver Schusser, senior director of iTunes Europe. “This year’s iTunes Festival is looking like our most popular ever and we can’t wait for the Scissor Sisters to kick it off in three weeks time.”
Out of these two million people there are only 60,000 tickets for teh 31-night gigfest, which takes place at the Roudhouse in Camden. Key artists include Scissor Sisters and Faithless.

The Scottish rockers have released seven dates for fans to enjoy during the months of November and December climaxing at a soon to be sold out Wembley Arena show.

A tour supporting their new album ‘Plastic Beach’ means that the Camden Roundhouse will play host to Damon & Co.’s 2D extravaganza on the 29th and 30th of April, in a show featuring Damon Albarn, The Clash’s Mick Jones and Paul Simonon, Mos Def, Gruff Rhys, Shaun Ryder, Bobby Womack, The National Orchestra For Arabic Music, Bashy, De La Soul, Kano and Little Dragon, along with new animation and artwork by Jamie Hewlett. The gigs will be the band’s first full UK performance since Demon Days Live at the Manchester Opera House in 2005.
