YouTube Stopping 30 Second Unskippable Ads in Favour of Shorter Formats
It has been announced by Google that YouTube will stop serving unskippable 30 second ads to users in 2018.
YouTube will start to push other unskippable ad formats such as the 6-second unit and the 20-second unit.
As YouTube has grown to over half of its video views coming from mobile users, it was expected that the 30-second ad format that performed poorly on mobile devices would be dropped.
