Vevo’s Artists to Watch 2024 – 10 year anniversary
These are the hottest artists to watch out for in 2024 according to Vevo’s DSCVR, their 10-year old taste-defining list.
Vevo are the world’s leading music video network. They’ve been pushing music videos in a post-MTV digital world for years and for 10 years their DSCVR Artists to Watch list has helped to define the up-and-coming artists for the year ahead.
This year, Vevo had nearly 600 submissions to their Artists to Watch list which they’ve curated down to a top list. Previous lists have included artists so huge its impossible to think of them as up-and-comers in the past, such as SAm Smith, Lewis Capaldi, and Billie Eilish. Last year’s list included Ice Spice.
Vevo’s senior vice president of content, programming, and marketing, JP Evangelista said: “For the past decade, we’ve had the privilege of watching the alumni of this program go from talented emerging artists to global superstars.
“From Billie Eilish to Sam Fender, Ice Spice to Wet Leg, to Feid and beyond, the exceptional amount of diverse talent our past list members have is astounding to say the least. Today, we are thrilled to announce the lineup for 2024.”
This year’s list features The Last Dinner Party. The British group were chosen by BBC Radio 1 as their Sound of 2024, marked by them to be the hottest rising act in the coming year.
Evangelista added: “This list is a true passion project for all of Vevo, powered by our in-house team of music lovers who are committed to finding the next big act to shine a spotlight on. With the help of our vast distribution network, marketing and promotional efforts, and top-tier production team, we have the ability to assist these artists in their journey to the top.
