Threads has added new analytic tools, giving creators a much clearer idea of how their content is performing.

Threads has announced new, expanded analytics tools to help users understand how their content is performing and where it’s being discovered. These updates provide deeper insights into post engagement, audience growth, and discovery across Meta’s wider network, including Instagram and Facebook.

The latest changes are available through the Insights dashboard on Threads. The Interactions section now shows a breakdown of engagement, including likes, replies, quotes, and reposts. Meanwhile, the Followers section goes further than before, giving you data on follower growth over time, plus key demographic details like age range, gender, and top cities and countries.

You can also track how your content is performing over time with a new chart that displays post trends from the past seven to 90 days. This allows users to spot what kinds of posts are working best and when they’re gaining traction.

One of the most helpful updates is the ability to see exactly where your posts are being discovered. Since Threads content can appear on Instagram and Facebook, the platform now shows how much reach each app contributes. This insight helps users understand how their content is spreading beyond Threads alone.

Meta says these updates are designed to “help creators build and grow their communities on Threads”. As reported by TechCrunch, this announcement follows Threads’ rapid growth – with the platform hitting 115.1 million daily active mobile users in June 2025, marking a 127.8% increase year-on-year. In contrast, X (formerly Twitter) saw 132 million daily actives, but its user base dropped by 15.2% over the same period.

These new tools add to the platform’s growing set of features. Over recent months, Threads has begun testing video ads and monetisation options, as well as a dedicated DM inbox, making it increasingly creator-focused.

If you’re trying to build an audience or promote your work online, having the right data is essential. Just like Spotify’s artist tools help track listener behaviour, these Threads analytics give a better understanding of what’s working and where to focus your efforts.

The new features are rolling out now, so it’s a good time to explore your Insights tab and start using the extra data to improve your content strategy.
