Spotify is putting fans in the spotlight as Oasis kicks off its reunion tour.

Oasis’ reunion tour has left fans at fever pitch ever since it was announced last August. Following a more than 16-year absence, the tour finally got underway in Cardiff on July 4. Fans flocked to purchase their music before the tour even got underway, and the band’s Spotify streams surged 320% after the opening weekend. Now, Spotify has marked the occasion with an experience for the fans.

A video campaign built around the fans

Spotify’s campaign includes a short film and fan portrait promotional material. It puts Spotify and fans at the center of the comeback celebrations, with the fan pics featuring on billboards up-and-down the UK and across Spotify’s socials. 

Your personalised Oasis set list

Fans will be getting a new personalised Oasis set list builder within Spotify. Based on your streaming, Spotify will generate your ‘dream set list’ which is made for you to share on social media or within group chats. Fans can also expect a playlist of their top Oasis songs to listen back to at any time.

Interestingly, the feature is live now in the UK and Ireland, but will expand alongside each leg of the tour. This means users in the US, Mexico, Brazil, Japan, South Korea, and Australia will get the feature when the tour comes to them.
