Spotify and Snapchat enhance the track sharing experience
Show off what you’re listening to on Spotify. “Share Track Lens” is a new augmented reality Lens on Snapchat.
Spotify are expanding their partnership with Snapchat to improve the music sharing experience. According to Spotify, the number of tracks being shared to social media is growing each year. While you’ve been able to share music from Spotify to Snapchat since 2019, this feature would present a fullscreen cover art or Canvas.
The new “Share Track Lens” integrates elements of you, your friends and your environment. Whether you’re taking a selfie or a photo of your view, the new Lens overlays a playbar, the song title, artist name, cover art and a link to the track on Spotify. This information is placed below any faces detected or otherwise centered over scenery.
How to use the new Spotify Lens on Snapchat
This feature is rolling out globally on Android and iOS in markets where Spotify and Snapchat are available.
- Ensure both apps are up to date
- Find the track on Spotify you want to share on Snapchat and tap the share icon
- Tap Lens
- This will take you to Snapchat. Simply take your photo and share.
