SoundExchange See Record Payments Through Q3 2014
SoundExchange distribute royalties to artist and labels for “non-interactive digital transmissions, including satellite, Internet radio, and cable television music channels”.
SoundExchange announced a record $267m was paid out to record labels and performing artists in Q3 2014. A 39.7% increase over the $161m paid out in Q2 and an impressive 74% increase on the same quarter last year.
SoundExchange have payed out more in the first three quarters this year with $590.6m, than the $590.4m paid out for the whole of 2013.
