SoundCloud have been treating us to a line-up of new things to explore each month. Some of these are brand new product offerings and others are reminders of what SoundCloud have recently launched to expand their toolset for artists. Check out our last piece to discover more exciting new offerings from SoundCloud.

New ways to share your music

Brand new share cards let you spread the word on your latest release with hot new visuals to boot. SoundCloud’s new sharing experiences create a record player visual featuring the artwork of your chosen track or playlist.

Customise the background with colours or add your own image to make an eye-grabbing share that will bring listeners in. This is a fantastic new tool for artists to reach fans and new listeners with captivating content. Or, if you’re just a fan, share your favourite tracks in a slick new way.

SoundCloud is now available on Apple Watch

You can now listen to your favourite tracks on an Apple Watch. With SoundCloud on your Apple Watch, you can listen to your tracks wherever you go.

Synchronise your account to access the music you’ve liked. Apple Watch functionality is available for SoundCloud Go, Go+, and Next Pro subscribers.

Next Pro is now on Android

Creators can now unlock the power of SoundCloud Next Pro from their Android device. With in-app purchases, artists can subscribe to Next Pro whilst on the go, unlocking unlimited song uploads, tools to master tracks, and opportunities to develop your audience.

SoundCloud recently announced a new algorithm for Next Pro users that boosts their chances of discovery. Their algorithm will promote Next Pro subscriber’s tracks with little to no plays, using AI to determine their track and the users who might enjoy it. This will help new and rising artists cut through the noise to make that first step to getting heard.

Additionally, SoundCloud have launched brand new ‘Buzzing’ playlists to build hype over the smaller creators who make their platform unique. Once again, Buzzing features are a Next Pro exclusive benefit and offers the potential for unheard tracks to pick up traction.

Amplify your new releases further

SoundCloud’s recommendation algorithm ‘Get Heard’ has recently dropped onto their Android and iOS apps. Artists can enable their music for ‘Get Heard’ on each track, helping to push it to the audiences that SoundCloud thinks are most likely to love your music.

SoundCloud say: “Since its launch, over 3.5 million tracks have been analysed and recommended to potential new fans. On average, Next Pro artists have seen a 400% increase in listens.”

Easily find your next best friend

SoundCloud are helping artists to support each other with a new, easy way to see who likes you back. SoundCloud users can easily see on an artist’s profile if they mutually follow each other. They hope this helps to foster connections between artists and encourage mutual support of other artists on the platform.

SoundCloud is now available in Arabic

Bringing music to more people around the world, SoundCloud’s app is now available in Arabic. Arab speakers can change their app’s language by heading to their app ‘Settings’ and selecting their chosen language under the ‘App Language’ section.
