The new Serato update comes with a range of improvements designed to boost performance and expand creative possibilities for DJs.

Serato has announced a significant update to its DJ software, introducing Serato DJ Pro 3.2.0 and Serato DJ Lite 3.2.0.

Serato updates DJ Pro & DJ Lite

One of the standout features of this update is the inclusion of native Apple Silicon support.

Now, DJs using Apple M1, M2, and M3 computers will experience smoother operation and enhanced performance because the developer has fully optimized the performance software for these newer processors.

In addition to the performance upgrade, the update brings a substantial overhaul to the software’s effects suite.

The new version introduces several custom-built effects including Infinity Tone, Spiral Echo, Stretch, Vast Reverb, and Infinity Flanger.

These new effects offer DJs more creative tools to craft their unique soundscapes.

The update also revives the Roll Out effect, a popular feature from Serato’s Scratch Live, now enhanced with improved sound quality and design. This effect is available for users with the Suite or Expansions bundle.

Another notable feature is the introduction of Custom FX, which allows users to create, save, and manage their own presets. This feature is aimed at DJs who want to personalize their effects to match their individual style.

However, this capability is restricted to those who have the Suite or Expansion packs.

The update also includes new Channel FX, providing options for controllers and mixers that lack built-in hardware effects. These Channel FX can be assigned to a filter knob, and are also accessible via Serato Play.

For improved usability, Serato has redesigned the FX panel, introducing new view modes to facilitate better navigation and control. Users can now save up to four Favorite FX Banks, allowing for quick access to their most-used effects configurations.

The update, which was initially introduced as a free public beta in June, is now available for all users.
