Oasis’ return to stage last week has seen streams surge, with Spotify and PPL sharing the latest global and local stats.

After announcing their reunion last August, Oasis immediately saw sales of their records increase. Now, with gig officially under way, Spotify has shared the latest statistics.

Oasis performed their first show in more than 16 years in Cardiff last Friday, July 4. Reception from fans and critics has been overwhelmingly positive. Over the coming week, Oasis will be continuing across Manchester, London, Edinburgh and Dublin, before expanding globally throughout the rest of the year.

Spotify reported that following the first weekend of tours, compared to the week before, streams of Oasis surged 320% globally and 400% in the UK. Some of the relatively less popular tracks from the setlist such as “Hello”, “Bring It On Down”, and “Fade Away”, saw as much as a 1000% increase in streams.

The band has found a new audience. According to data shared with TODAY, of the 16.6 million ‘user discoveries’ of Oasis this year, more than 50% were from Gen Z listeners alone. PPL also shared statistics this week. The UK’s music royalty collector says that since 2000, Oasis has had over seven years of cumulative airplay on UK radio and TV stations, with an average of 120 plays per day.
