The setlist feature offers artists an easy way to promote upcoming live shows, give fans the chance to relive the concert experience, and engage those who may have missed out. This not only deepens the artist-fan relationship but also provides a new tool for artists to maintain fan interest.
Apple recommends that artists ensure their artist profile image is current before using the feature. Additionally, artists should connect their Bandsintown account to ensure upcoming shows are visible and easily discoverable by fans. Keeping your Bandsintown profile updated is a great way to make sure your fans have access to details of upcoming events effortlessly.
How to create a Setlist Playlist:
- Go to the Artist Content section in your Apple Music for Artists account.
- Scroll to Artist Playlists and click the “Create Setlist” button.
- Select the type of event, such as Concert, Tour, or Residency.
- Add event details (date, location) by selecting from your connected Bandsintown events.
- Set a publish date for the playlist, ensuring it’s no earlier than one day in the future.
- Add your songs to the setlist using the search tool.
- Once complete, click “Publish”.
Artists can create as many setlist playlists as they have played or are scheduled to play, making it an excellent way to promote multiple shows and keep a fanbase engaged.
