McDonald’s I’m Lovin’ It Live is a virtual event this weekend with artists such as Stormzy and Lewis Capaldi
Held 30th October to 1st November, I’m Lovin’ It Live is a 3-day UK virtual festival from McDonald’s as a way of attracting a younger audience.
With live performances from some of the UK’s biggest artists, I’m Lovin’ It Live will be available to UK and Ireland-based customers.
The event can be accessed exclusively via the My McDonald’s app on iPhone and Android. Viewers must download and sign up to watch the performances. No word on any sort of capacity.
The line-up is as follows:
Friday 30th October
- Becky Hill – 7:30pm
- Jess Glynne – 9pm
Saturday 31st October
- Kaiser Chiefs – 7pm
- Olly Murs – 8pm
- Craig David – 9pm
Sunday 1st November
- Lewis Capaldi – 7:30pm
- Stormzy – 9pm
I’m Lovin’ it Live is our way of saying thank you to our people and to our customers for all their support this year. Hopefully our week of good things and good times offers something for everyone from families looking for fun to music fans missing the gig scene.
Michelle Graham-Clare, VP Food and Beverage, McDonald’s
The event acts as a good way of getting a new demographic to download and register an account with the app. I’m sure branding, push notifications and emails will keep reminding you how easy it is to buy a Big Mac.
The company is making efforts to reach a younger audience in the US too, collaborating with Travis Scott and J. Balvin to attract more 11-24 year olds, a demographic McDonald’s has recently struggled to hit.
