As an artist who wants to create a small copyright free catalog, is it possible to include my music on the Youtube content ID (in order to get paid), but without copyright strike the people who use my music?
And how does it work with platforms like Twitch?
Hi James, uploading your music through Content ID won’t copyright strike anyone who is using your music. It does simply that: monetises the video on your behalf whilst allowing the creator to freely use. We never make copyright claims that would affect the creator’s channel.
We don’t work with Twitch and their music content detection works very differently.
Thanks you for the answer.
On the NCS article, it says that they dont have content ID, but they have ads on their videos. I thought that music channels weren’t able to monetize, without content id.
I would like to have tracks protected and also make some money with the youtube plays.
