Top 10 fastest songs to reach one billion streams on Spotify in 2026
Artists are hitting the milestone faster than ever! Here are the ten fastest songs to hit one billion streams, as of February 2026.
In the early days of streaming, one billion streams was a milestone thought impossible. In 2016, Drake’s One Dance became the first track to surpass one billion streams, achieving the milestone in 193 days.
Today there are over 1,000 tracks on the BILLIONS CLUB playlist, with new and classic hits added frequently. Popular artists with many entries on the list include the likes of The Weeknd, Taylor Swift, Drake, Ed Sheeran, Billie Eilish, and Ariana Grande. It’s not only modern artists making the list. The playlist also features classic hits as far back as the 60s, with legendary artists such as Queen, AC/DC, Fleetwood Mac, The Beatles, Michael Jackson, ABBA, and Bon Jovi.
As Spotify and streaming as a whole grow, artists are hitting one billion streams faster than ever, making it harder for artists to make an impact on this list. A full deep dive into the trend from Chartmetric can be found here.

Fast forward to May 2023, Flowers by Miley Cyrus broke the record in 112 days. Later that year, the achievement was made again by K-pop artist Jung Kook and Latto’s Seven in 108 days, who held the record for a year. In late 2024, Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars broke the record once more with their soft-rock and pop ballad. Die With A Smile achieved one billion streams in November 2024 in a record-breaking 96 days.
Since we last updated this list, we have a new entry at number ten from Taylor Swift’s Ophelia, who achieved the record in 127 days, replacing Ed Sheeran’s Shape of You.
Note, three of the tracks listed below hit the milestone in the same number of days, hence them sharing 6th position.
