Apple’s newest Apple AirPods Pro 3 bring upgraded sound, fitness tracking, and AI translation tools.
Apple has officially launched the AirPods Pro 3, three years after Apple’s second generation AirPods Pro.
Here’s the key details of what matters most:
Enhanced audio quality
- Apple’s new Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) removes up to 2x more noise than AirPods Pro 2 and 4x more than the first generation.
- A new Adaptive EQ structure brings improved spatial audio and more a personalised Transparency Mode.
- Up to eight hours of music playback with ANC enabled, 33% longer than the previous generation.

Redesigned fit
- An updated design for better fit and in-ear stability during exercise, developed thanks to over 10,000 ear scans and 100,000 of user research.
- Foam-infused ear tips for better sound are now available in five sizes (XXS-L).
Heart rate sensors for fitness & health tracking
- Built-in heart rate sensors let you now track over 50 workout types in the Fitness app, including how many calories you burn.
- Use alongside Apple’s new Apple Intelligence (AI) Workout Buddy for real-time motivation.
- First AirPods to have an IP57 rating for improved dust, sweat, and water resistance.

AI-powered Live Translation
- Long-rumoured Live Translation feature is coming to AirPods Pro 3.
- Users can translate real-time conversations across English, French, German, Portuguese, and Spanish.
- Italian, Japanese, Korean, and Chinese (Simplified) will be coming by the end of the year
Hearing Health
- AirPods Pro 3 also gets Apple’s Hearing Test, Hearing Protection, and Hearing Aid compatibilities that were introduced last year.
- Up to 10 hours playback on a single charge for Hearing Aid users in Transparency mode, a 67% increase.
