Ahrix Exclusive Interview – and Ahrix also Signs to Outertone for Management!
Ahrix is an 18 year old producer from the Netherlands who has been exploring the world of electronic music for 2 years now. Shifting his style from time to time he is still exploring new genre’s to try out.
We are very proud to announce that Ahrix has just signed to Outertone for Management!
Ahrix was nice enough to sit down and answer some of our questions.
Q: What inspired you to start making music and at what age?
I started making music at the age of 14. What inspired me to make music is that I wanted to make my own tracks so I installed FL Studio and started experimenting.
Q: Where did you learn your skills from, was it self taught or through education?
I would say 50% self taught and 50% education. Youtube nowadays is full of good tutorials on how to do certain things, but you also learn a lot by trial and error.
Q: What are your top 5 most loved tracks at the moment?
Good music is coming out everyday but here is a list of tracks I enjoy at the moment.
1) Hellberg – The Girl
2) Puppet – Answers
3) Steerner & Martell – Sky
4) Syn Cole – Bright Lights (Steerner Remix)
5) Sick Individuals ft. Kaelyn Behr – Never Fade
Q: If you had the chance to pick anyone, past or present, who would you most want to collaborate with?
I prefer to work alone but a collab with K391 is something I wouldn’t turn down.
Q: What advice would you give to any aspiring dj/producers out there?
Google/Youtube is your best friend. Try to learn as much as you can from those sources. If you can set your mind to it, nothing is unreachable.
Q: What is the coolest thing you own?
Probably my setup, I have a beefy PC with a pair of KRK VXT-8’s.
Q: You have been very busy in 2014 .. so what do you have planned for 2015?
Experimenting further and further until I have found a style that I can make forever without getting bored.
