These two songs sound very similar, but it seems like Kesha is signed to Sony Muisc, while Katy Perry is signed to EMI.

Both produced/co-written by hit-machine Dr Luke (Since You’ve Been Gone, Girlfriend, I Kissed A Girl, etc etc). Maybe he lost track of which beats he’d used? 😛
