Upcoming Netflix competitor Quibi announces a new show entirely about music
Quibi’s upcoming TV show subscription service is looking better and better with a brand new music series on the way.
Quibi is set to launch on the 6th April and offers a bite-sized TV streaming service full of short, original shows. The app has raised a whopping $1.75 billion so far and has a range of talent onboard, including an all-star cast in a new documentary covering music and the real people behind it.
The series ‘&MUSIC’ is set to feature Ariana Grande, Anderson .Paak, Ozzy Osbourne, J Balvin, Martin Garrix, YG and many more. Scooter Braun will direct and it will aim to look “beyond the songs and even the musicians” with a focus on the people who help to make the music behind the scenes.
&MUSIC is set to be one of the 50 shows available to its subscribers on launch. It will feature 6 episodes based around 6 different musicians and 6 different collaborators with new episodes launched every day from the 6th April.
They are planning on releasing 175 original shows with a total of 8,500 episodes for them all within their first year of launch. Among the offerings will be full feature films that are split down into “chapters” of up to 10 minutes long.
The service will cost $4.99 a month with ads or $7.99 without ads but will be available for 90 days on a free trial to new users.
