Announcement of Bruno Mars’ first solo album in a decade arrives alongside a major stadium tour to match. Here’s everything you need to know.

A new era for Bruno Mars

After ten years, the wait for a Bruno Mars solo studio album will soon be over. The superstar has announced his fourth solo album, The Romantic, alongside a large-scale global stadium tour set to roll out across 2026.

Last week, Mars confirmed that The Romantic will arrive on February 27, marking his first solo release since 24K Magic landed in 2016. Friday saw the release of the album’s lead single, ‘I Just Might’, which has made an immediate impact. Within just a couple of days, the track’s music video has already surpassed 17 million views on YouTube. Clearly, the appetite for Bruno Mars’ next era of music remains as strong as ever.

The Romantic Tour heads global

Alongside the album news, Mars revealed The Romantic Tour. It also marks his first full headlining tour in nearly a decade, following the massively successful 24K Magic World Tour, which launched in 2017.

The new tour is set to span nearly 40 dates across North America, Europe, and the UK. It all kicks off on April 10 in Las Vegas, before moving through major markets including Houston, Atlanta, Chicago, Toronto, Paris, Amsterdam, Milan, London, Miami, and more. Live Nation has already described it as “one of the biggest global outings of the year”.

Support artists across the tour come in strong too. Silk Sonic collaborator Anderson .Paak will join all dates as DJ Pee .Wee, while Victoria Monét, RAYE, and Leon Thomas will appear as additional support across in select markets.

Presale tickets are available on Wednesday January 14 at 12PM local time, with general sale following a day later on Thursday January 15 at 12PM local time. Fans have until January 12 10AM PT (6PM GMT) to register for presale access.

A decade away, but never out of the spotlight

Despite the decade-long gap between solo albums, Mars has still been firmly in the limelight. Recent collaborations have seen him break streaming records left, right, and centre, and have kept him at the centre of industry awards.

His collab with Lady Gaga on ‘Die With A Smile’ won Best Pop Duo/Group Performance at the Grammys and became Spotify’s fastest track to reach one billion streams. The song also helped Mars become the first artist to surpass 150 million monthly listeners on Spotify and delivered Vevo’s most-watched music video of 2025 with 932 million global views.

More recently, his collab with ROSÉ on ‘APT.’ dominated streaming platforms worldwide. The song was recently named the most-streamed track of 2025 on both Apple Music and Deezer, won Song of the Year at the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards, and has picked up multiple Grammy nominations.

Wrapping up

As 2026 unfolds, Bruno Mars’ The Romantic and its accompanying tour could shape charts and ticket sales. Whether the album follows his recent record-breaking footsteps remains to be seen. But for music fans everywhere, the release is certainly one to look forward to. With any luck, it could just kick off an all-timer year for music releases.
