Initially released on November 19, 2024, My Deezer Year provided users with a blend of customisable and shareable insights summarising their listening habits throughout the year. This feature was designed to celebrate individuality in music tastes while fostering connections through quizzes that allowed friends and family to join in the fun. Remarkably, over 70% of these quizzes were completed by non-subscribers, amplifying Deezer’s reach.

What’s new in the expanded version?

The My Deezer Year 2024 experience was the most successful edition to date, seeing a 27% increase in user engagement and a 75% surge in social media sharing compared to 2023. This success promoted the platform to expand the experience and include a full year of streaming stats- January 1 to December 31. By doing so, Deezer offers its users a truly comprehensive view of their listening habits. 

By offering this full-year data, Deezer is providing a “unique approach in the music streaming world”. While the original My Deezer Year 2024 is similar to the popular Spotify Wrapped, this expanded version is more reminiscent of Apple Music’s Replay, which provides monthly statistics and a regularly updated playlist alongside a specified launch day.

The success of My Deezer Year 2024 comes following a strong year of growth for Deezer, despite replacing their CEO in September. The platform consolidated earlier growth in Q3, with much of its success attributed to strategic partnerships and alternative revenue streams.
