Warner Music Group Buy Startup Company Playlists.net

Playlists.net

“Playlists.net is a resource for Spotify users to share and explore Spotify Playlists. The site is a free resource for music fans the world over.”

150k playlists and one million unique monthly visitors Playlists.net has seen great success since its launch just over a year ago, and has recently been acquired by WEA for a undisclosed amount.

“We were approached by WEA earlier in the year to discuss ways in which we could collaborate and it became apparent that there was much to be gained by us joining forces,” said Playlists.net CEO Kieron Donoghue.

“What’s really exciting is that WEA have committed to support Playlists.net as an independent platform, invest in its future and grow the team to take advantage of new opportunities in the streaming ecosystem.”

This agreement should see some changes to the site for the better.
