YouTube Music highlights their radio feature. Simply type a prompt and instantly generate a playlist based on the mood, activity or genre.

Last year YouTube Music launched Ask Music, their competitor to Spotify AI Playlist and Amazon Music Maestro. Similarly to other services, simply type a prompt and YouTube Music will start a station based on your text. While it’s not specifically mentioned, the feature presumably uses Google’s Gemini. Ask Music is now more prominent in the YouTube Music app.

Ask Music on YouTube Music is still only available in the Android app, for YouTube Music Premium and YouTube Premium subscribers in the US, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. The feature is now available at the top of the Home tab, labeled “Ask for music”, with some suggested prompts to get you started. Ask Music is coming to iOS and more countries “soon”.

By uploading your music to YouTube Music, your music has the opportunity to be suggested to new listeners with Ask Music. Distribute worldwide for free today!
