Why electronic music artists NEED to be on SoundCloud in 2024
SoundCloud says that electronic music is on the up, with the genre expected to account for over 20% of all plays this year.
Music streaming service, SoundCloud revealed some interesting stats at ADE 2024 (Amsterdam Dance Event). The electronic music conference and festival just wrapped up, but SoundCloud shared a tidbit from the event via a press release. SoundCloud CEO Eliah Seton, Global Head of Music Emmy Lovell and artist producer Mau P were on stage for an “Essential Insider Knowledge” panel.
With around 140 million users, over 400 million tracks and over 40 million artists, SoundCloud says that electronic music fans are the most engaged worldwide, plus some other bits of interesting data.
Many artists got their start on SoundCloud, with the music streaming platform saying “Major Electronic artists like Kygo and Marshmello first gained visibility and built their fanbases on SoundCloud.”
