A full breakdown of the soundtrack behind the final season of Stranger Things.

Since Stranger Things first hit screens in 2016, fans have loved the soundtracks that accompany each season. They’re nostalgic, they’re emotional, and often put the spotlight on fan-favorites from the 80s era that the show is set in. Just look at what happened with Kate Bush’s “Running Up That Hill (A Deal With God)” which went viral and hit the charts in the summer of 2022 alongside Season 4. There’s no wonder the Official Stranger Things Playlist is now the third most saved soundtrack on Spotify

Now, the fifth and final season is under way, and the music is once again front and center.

Here’s a breakdown of every song featured so far in the first four episodes which could just soundtrack the holiday season.

Episode 1: “The Crawl”

Episode 2: “The Vanishing of Holly Wheeler”

Episode 3: “The Turnbow Trap”

Episode 4: “Sorcerer”

The show is set to dominate the holiday season thanks to a staggered rollout. The first four episodes arrived last week on November 26 (November 27 in the UK). Three more drop on December 25 (December 26 in the UK), before the series finale lands December 31 (January 1 in the UK).

Stay tuned to the songs set to define Hawkins’ final chapter and the ones that could experience streaming spikes this holiday season:
