Here’s a pretty special remix competition. Steve Reich, arguably the best known minimalist composer to have ever lived would like you (not you specifically, but you know what I mean) to remix a movement from his award winning piece Double Sextet 2×5.

The winning entry will receive a $500, a signed copy of the album Sextet 2×5, and a signed score of the Pulitzer Prize winning Double Sextet.

As wonderful as these prizes are, the mot exciting thing about this remix competition is that Steve will be judging it himself, and posting not just the winning entries but all entries on the competition’s website.
