Spotify now lets you follow your favourite venues
Spotify’s latest update turns your app into a gig guide, follow venues, track shows, and discover who’s playing next.
Spotify’s just made gig-hunting a whole lot easier. You can now search for and follow live-music venues directly in the app, whether it’s your local dive bar or a massive arena. Once you hit “Follow,” you’ll start seeing updates about upcoming shows, line-ups, and ticket links, all without leaving Spotify.
The update, builds on Spotify’s Live Events feed. It now refreshes daily instead of weekly, meaning you’ll always know what’s coming up near you. Think of it as your personal gig guide, but smarter, it tailors recommendations based on your listening habits and location.
If something catches your eye, you can tap straight through to buy tickets via the venue’s official partner. There are already over 20,000 venues listed worldwide, from iconic spots to hidden gems, so odds are, your favourite stage is on there.
This means no more juggling event listings or doom-scrolling through Instagram to find gig announcements. Everything’s in one place, music, venues, and tickets.
And for venues, it’s a big win. Having a space on Spotify means their shows can reach listeners who are actually into the artists and genres they host. Spotify says it’s all about “connecting the right fans with the right ticket at the right time,” and honestly, that sounds like a win for everyone.
