Sony ULT TOWER 9 and 9AC – new massive Bluetooth party speakers
Sony launches two replacements for the SRS-XV900 party speaker. ULT TOWER 9 and ULT TOWER 9AC are under their new ULT POWER SOUND series.
Sony has launched new speakers to its ULT POWER SOUND line, a series of speakers and headphones with a bass focus introduced last year.
The ULT TOWER 9 and ULT TOWER 9AC are the largest and most expensive of the new speakers introduced, replacing the Sony SRS-XV900.
ULT TOWER 9 has up to 25 hours of battery life, while a 10-minute quick charge will give up to 3 hours of juice. The $150 less expensive ULT TOWER 9AC has no built-in battery.
The four tweeters, two mid-range speakers and X-Balanced Speaker Unit provides 360-degree sound.

Hitting the ULT button will switch between different sound modes, including ULT1 – giving a deeper, lower frequency bass, while ULT2 outputs powerful punchy bass. Customize the sound further in the Sony Sound Connect app using the 10-band EQ.
There are karaoke and guitar inputs across the top, which pairs nicely with the brand new $149.99 ULT MIC. Use the TV Sound Booster function to optimize the speaker for film and shows.

Sony has also improved the 360° Party Lights. This lighting display is synchronized to the music. You can also link up to 100 compatible speakers syncing both the music and lighting to totally fill a space.
A handle and larger wheels hope to make carrying the speaker easier.
Both speakers are available now on Amazon. The Sony ULT TOWER 9 is $899.99 and the ULT TOWER 9AC is $749.99.
