In a show of solidarity, Sony Music Group and Warner Music Group have joined Universal Music Group in canceling their planned Grammy events to aid those affected by the devastating wildfires in Los Angeles. The Recording Academy has confirmed that the Grammy Awards ceremony will still take place as scheduled on February 2nd at the Crypto.com Arena.
Sony Music announced the cancellation of all its Grammy-related events and pledged a $5 million donation to support wildfire emergency relief as well as long-term recovery efforts. Their contribution aims to assist first responders, impacted communities, and employees directly affected by the disaster.
Warner Music Group also canceled its Pre-Grammy party and pledged $1 million toward relief efforts. Similarly, BMG announced the cancellation of its pre-Grammy celebration, expressing gratitude to Los Angeles County firefighters and first responders working tirelessly to contain the fires.
