The newly announced Oasis reunion will mark an end to the 16-year long Gallagher brother feud.

Fans of the Britpop giants have been waiting with their breath bated like it’s never been bated before. As Liam Gallagher brought Reading Festival 2024 to a close, an Oasis reunion was heavily hinted at. Now, the news has been confirmed.

Taking a guess at whether Oasis will or won’t get back together is nothing new. But, recently, rumours have been more founded than in previous years. The relationship between the Gallagher brothers has been notoriously rocky since the band’s split in 2009, but in recent months, fans started to notice some encouraging signs. Liam tweeted cryptic messages about wanting to “bury the hatchet” and Noel was spotted wearing Oasis merch. All this fanned the flames of speculation around whether a reunion could really be on the cards.

The tour was hinted by Liam during his Reading set, as large screens featured the date 27.08.24 in the same font as the Oasis logo. As this happened, Noel Gallagher also tweeted the same clip, as well as it being shared on the official Oasis channels. Once this date rolled around, fans of the band rejoiced as a 14-date UK and Ireland tour was finally confirmed.

Oasis reunion tour details

The Oasis reunion tour will take place in July and August 2025, starting with a string of dates in the UK and Ireland. While the full list of cities and venues hasn’t been released yet, the band has confirmed that they will be playing in major cities such as London, Manchester, Cardiff, Glasgow, and Dublin. These dates have been referred to in a press release as the “domestic leg” of the tour, with plans to take the show to Europe and potentially beyond.

The confirmed dates for the 2025 UK and Ireland tour are as follows: 4, 5 July, Principality Stadium, Cardiff; 11, 12, 19 and 20 July, Heaton Park, Manchester; 25, 26 July, 2, 3 August, Wembley Stadium, London; 8, 9 August, Murrayfield Stadium, Edinburgh; and 16, 17 August, Croke Park, Dublin.

The setlist for the tour is still under wraps, but fans are hoping to hear all their favourite Oasis classics, from “Wonderwall” and “Don’t Look Back in Anger” to “Champagne Supernova” and “Live Forever.” There has been no mention of new material thus far, however, a band of the pedigree certainly won’t be struggling for bangers to fill out their set.

Tickets for the confirmed UK and Ireland dates will go on sale at 9am on the 31st August. This is also when ticket prices will be revealed.

Unanswered questions

There are still plenty of questions left unanswered for fans around the big Oasis reunion.

While ticket prices have not yet been confirmed, fans don’t have to wait long as this will be revealed as tickets go on sale this weekend. With demand expected to be incredibly high, it is advised that wannabe ticket-holders get set up early, ready to tackle whatever ticket-purchasing system mayhem may ensue.

Additionally, the full band lineup has not been officially revealed.
